Cranford Rotary Aids Moore, Oklahoma
On the afternoon of May 20, 2013, a tornado struck Moore,
Oklahoma with peak winds estimated at 210 miles per hour. The tornado was 1.3 miles wide at its peak,
and an estimated 1,150 homes were
destroyed, with an estimated $2 billion in damages. The storm killed 23 people and
injured 377 others.
Cranford Rotary
joined many other organizations in donating funds for the restoration of Moore. The Club matched the donations of the members
and sent a check for $1,400 to the Rotary Club of Moore to be used where the
funds are needed most.
